Our process is broken down into 5 easy steps…
STEP 1
INITIAL CONSULTATION MEETING
All projects begin with a paid design consultation. This usually takes around 60 - 90 minutes and is very much a working session, providing you with clarity and direction for your project. For us, it’s a chance to find out more about you and your family, how you live in your home day-to-day, and how you want it to look and feel.
We’ll go over your architectural plans, discuss the scope of the project, your budget and timelines. You will receive lots of initial ideas and inspiration, and clarity for your project.
This includes travel (10km radius from Mount Eden) and any research prior to the consultation, including reading over architectural plans.
$410 + GST
STEP 2
THE DESIGN - FIXED FEE PACKAGE
Once we have a clear idea of project scope, we’ll create a ‘package’ of hours for your job. A package means you know how much you’ll pay upfront, so you’ll have a fixed cost to incorporate into your budget. The package will cover our time costs for any of the design stages you require (design concept, design development, design presentation & quotation).
Step 3
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
To create the design direction for your home, we start by providing an overall vision and feel for the space. This will be presented as a ‘SCHEMATIC DESIGN’ featuring suggested colour palettes, finishes, textures and furniture. It not only shows how these elements come together to create a cohesive look, but will act as a guide for all decision making throughout the project.
Step 4
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & PRESENTATION
During this stage, we finalise the specific design recommendations that will make your home unique. This includes sourcing and specifying the best finishes, colour schemes, materials and products - kitchen/bathroom fixtures and fittings, flooring, carpet, lighting, paint colours, and window treatments to furniture, and much more.
We’ll also provide quotes for all aspects of the build that we are purchasing on your behalf, including trade discounts to give you a complete picture of cost prior to final decision making.
Includes meeting to present design specifications presented on mood boards, with accompanying samples and showroom visits where required.
Step 5
DESIGN EXECUTION
Once the design is complete and the choices are made, we will help bring your home to life. Meeting with the architect, builders, and all trades to check we are all on the same page. Placing orders for products, organising delivery and ironing out any issues that arise along the way. We help right up until move-in day.
