Design Process — How We Work
Hello Saturday’s interior design process brings your vision to life with clarity, care and purposeful design. Based in Auckland we guide residential and boutique commercial clients from initial consultation to final styling with a structured, collaborative approach. Designed to be clear, creative and client-focused, our process supports confident decision-making at every stage.
1. Connect & Consultation
Our journey starts with a site visit and initial consultation to understand your vision, lifestyle, and how you want your space to feel and function. Whether you are planning a new build or renovation, this working session provides clarity and direction.
We’ll review plans, discuss scope, budget and timeline, and share initial design ideas to help bring your dream home to life.
Initial Consultation: $410 + GST Includes travel within a 10km radius of Mount Eden and any necessary research.
Following the consultation, we will create a customised DESIGN PACKAGE for the design phase. Based on the project Design packages start from $6000 + GST.
2. Concept & Mood Boards
This is where the creative journey begins. We develop mood boards and design concepts that draw inspiration from multiple sources, blending your ideas with our design direction.
Focusing on spatial planning and functionality, we establish a cohesive design vision that sets the tone for your home.
3. Developed Design & Planning
Your vision begins to take shape as we curate samples and selections, guiding you through key design decisions with clarity and confidence.
Using Programa, a powerful interior design platform, we finalise product selections and specifications to ensure nothing is overlooked.
We then create CAD drawings, spatial plans and renders, bringing key spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms and living areas to life in detail. Every element is carefully refined to capture the spirit of your brief and elevate the design into something truly special.
4. Construction Documentation & Procurement
We create detailed construction drawings that guide the build with precision, ensuring the design intent is realised.
At the same time, we begin procurement — sourcing tiles, fixtures, finishes, furniture and custom pieces from our trusted suppliers to ensure every element of the space is thoughtfully selected and expertly crafted.
5. Design Management & Styling
From start to finish, we remain closely involved in the process. Through regular site visits and close collaboration with tradespeople and contractors, we guide each stage with care and attention to detail.
When it comes to the final layers, our styling blends your cherished pieces with carefully selected new elements — creating a home that feels cohesive, personal and beautifully complete.
